As members of the College Republicans at CUA, we have two auspicious tasks. As the University's largest and most active organization, we have the responsibility pursuing our Repuplican mission, while simultaneously providing the ultimate example of what makes an organization successful. At the same time, our location at the Catholic University creates a situation in which the CRs must bridge our Republican values with our Catholic identity. We must never forget our mission, always striving to prove to our community one vital fact proven time and time again: conservatism is Christian!

The CRs have three major aims as an organization:
1) To produce and attend conservative events.
2) To provide opportunties for club members to support conservative candidates.
3) To secure internships for our members.

In the past, we have never failed to live up to these high expectations. The CRs have hosted such great speakers as Ed Gillespie (CUA alumnus), Newt Gingrich, Sam Brownback, Pat Buchanan, Tom Ridge, Edwin Meese III and Dick Cheney. In addition to host Catholic University's best speakers, our members attend the annual Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC) in Washington DC where members can interact with conservatives from all around the nation and organizations from all around the world. In addition to attending CPAC, CRs produce several social functions that have become staples at CUA (including our annual Christmas party and Chairman's Dinner), and participate in numerous other charitable, community, and politically oriented activities and events.

For anyone in Washington who is interested in Conservative politics, government, or civic involvement, an internship is a valuable opportunity to make the most of your DC experience. Our organization has numerous contacts in Capitol Hill offices, campaigns, think tanks, and lobbying offices. The College Republicans at CUA enjoy the distinction of securing more internships for our members than any other DC organization.
